About this listing
The house is located on 2.5 acres on top of a mountain, nestled under a lush canopy with a view of the ocean. Each room has a private bathroom, with access to a full kitchen. As the owner of the house, I live on property, and will do my best to help out with any questions about the area or things to do. I also do rescue work. Besides my dogs, I may have an extra rescue temporarily. You don't have to love animals as much as I do, but I would like my guests to at least be tolerable of them!
About the Host, Liz
I am a language instructor for the Department of Defense. Outside of work and Airbnb, I dedicate my free time and money to rescuing animals. I play roller derby and soccer as a past time. I enjoy getting to know people from all over the world and different backgrounds. I think opening your home to people is the best way to learn! More About Liz.

This room is on the first floor. It has it's own private entrance, and private bathroom. The room has four large windows which allow for a nice breeze. The room has a ceiling fan as well as a portable floor fan. The temperature is always nice, and therefore, no AC is needed. In the winter months, you may even need to use the comforter!
Even though this room has a separate entrance, Guests will retain the use of the main house and common areas like the kitchen, living room, deck, and the entire 2 acres the house sets on.
Interaction with Guests
I work full time, but do my best to be as available as possible. I live in the house that I rent, so more than likely we will cross paths. When time allows, I try to set aside some time to learn about my guests, enjoy a drink or meal together.
The neighborhood is a small collection of houses, contained in a private, coded access area. There are a total of 15 houses that are spread out, so that everyone retains their privacy. Neighbors tend to keep to themselves, but are all very nice and welcoming.
You will need a car when travelling outside of the Metro Area. Roads are windy and narrow, but fun to drive! Uber is a new installation on the island and doesn't yet travel to all areas of the island.
Other Things to Note
Massages are available in house by a certified massage therapist, availability depends on different factors, so if you are interested, please notify in advance as much as possible.
Treat the house as if it were your own, and with respect. I try to be as quiet as possible so that guests can enjoy nature, and I'd expect the same in return. Locking up before leaving the property is required. Be aware of the animals and that you shut gates behind you at all times.
